Cotton Posting Losses on Tuesday

Cotton futures are down 15 to 103 points in most nearby contracts at midday. NASS reported that 64% of the US cotton crop had bolls open by Sunday vs. the 57% average, as harvest was 11% complete in line with the normal pace. Conditions were down another 2% to 39% gd/ex, as the Brugler500 index was 4 points lower to 324. That was driven by a 6 point drop to condition ratings in TX. The Cotlook A Index was up 20 points on September 23 at 71.45 cents/lb. The weekly AWP is 54.62, effective through Thursday.

OCT 19 Cotton is at 58.8, down 103 points,

DEC 19 Cotton is at 60.74, down 17 points

MAR 20 Cotton is at 61.46, down 22 points

MAY 20 Cotton is at 62.36, down 15 points
